| The
Yarmouth 36 Day Launch, designed by Van Gorkom Yacht Design, combines
"down east" elegance and comfort with the efficiency and power that
today's yachtsman has come to expect.
The stylish classic lines of the Yarmouth 36
are in complete harmony with the modern underbody's moderate V-hull,
which has a 13 degree deadrise at the transom and provides this boat
with an extremely smooth and stable ride. Drawing only 20" of
water, this 36 footer is ideal for exploring those out-of-the-way gunk
holes as the boat can easily maneuver in shallow water.
The 400hp Detroit turbo-charged diesel
engine and Hamilton 291 jet-drive system guarantee a fast and quiet
ride. The smaller, lighter Yanmar 350hp engine is also an
option reducing the projected top speed to 28 knots from 32 knots with
the Detroit.
The high-tech hull structure is made up of
Kevlar and e-glass with a foam or Balsa core in an epoxy matrix
producing an extremely strong, impact resistant and lightweight
structure. The deck is an e-glass and foam sandwich
laminate. Using carbon fiber unidirectional material in the
caps of the stringers and frames ensures longitudinal and torsional
stiffness.
The Yarmouth 36 is beautifully appointed
with many classic features including mahogany trim, a teak deck overlay
in the cockpit, a teak and holly cabin sole, and rich all-weather
upholstery. Combined this with modern amenities and equipment
such as a microwave, a state-of-the-art sound system, a helm station
with complete navigational and system readouts, a convenient swim
platform with walk through access, and you have an incredibly handsome
and versatile yacht.
